The 19 year-old producer turned song creator is making his rumblings, by way of Harlem, NY; Luca's latest track "Altar", which debuted April 12, 2022, is actually his second single as an artist (which is a wonderful first release of 2022! might I add). While he's done some production for the very talented Araya, adding to the tools on his belt of artistry was always in his foresights and through working sort-of, behind the scenes if you will, he's found his own voice as a maestro.
The song entails a love story gone wrong, however It is Luca's reckoning that this is for the best. "I went down to the water to hear the oceans cry", he opens with as the ballad extends into an almost grunge R&B song, with rustic guitar, drums, and a plethora of translucent sounds. "I've been making music pretty much my whole life. I started piano at three and ended up in choir for most of my school years. I only really got into recording towards the end of high school when I taught myself guitar."
I’d like to compare the likes of the song sonically to a nice Merlot, as it goes down rather smooth, tailed with a little bit of bitterness. Breakups often aren‘t fun, however Luca has been fortunate enough to illustrate his emotions into this subtle single and us, the audience fortunate enough to listen.
Lastly, he hinted at the impulse of a project, noting it wouldn't come "until after my next single at least!". In time, he will be curating his own sound and testing the waters with his instrumental arrangements. Go stream "Altar" down below & on all platforms!
