Estephanie’s journey into music feels like a natural evolution of her creative spirit. At 23, she’s a Brooklyn native through and through, growing up in a lively Hispanic household with her mom, dad, sister, and their dog. Her childhood was filled with imaginative projects, especially since she and her sister spent a lot of time at home. From vlogging to making their own variety show on a flip camera, Estephanie’s early days were all about finding ways to entertain themselves. “My brain is like a variety show up in here,” she jokes, reflecting on how those moments sparked her love for storytelling and performing.
Though she’s been writing songs for as long as she can remember, Estephanie only started sharing her music in 2019 with her debut single, Runaway. Before that, songwriting was like journaling, a way to process her emotions privately. It wasn’t until the uncertainty of the pandemic that she decided to take the leap and put her work out into the world. Her friends, many of whom are artists, played a huge role in encouraging her to perform and take her craft more seriously. Looking back, Estephanie sees their support as a game-changer, pushing her to step outside her comfort zone.

Her latest single, I Like It, which she worked on with her friend Norahsworld, came together in the most effortless way. “We didn’t even plan it,” she explains, describing how they wrote their verses separately yet ended up on the same page. The track, produced by Waytoofresh, is upbeat, fun, and full of the kind of energy that only comes from creating with friends in a comfortable environment. Even shooting the music video was a blast she mentions, despite the freezing rooftop temperatures and a rapidly setting sun.
When it comes to her influences, Estephanie has a long list of artists who inspire her, including Noname, Solange, Erykah Badu, and Tyler, The Creator. But she’s also deeply motivated by the people around her. “I get inspired by everyone in some way,” she says, highlighting how her community of friends and collaborators fuel her creativity. This sense of connection has been one of the most unexpected gifts of her music career, helping her navigate an industry that can sometimes feel isolating and cold.
Outside of music, Estephanie is all about staying active and creative. She loves anime, dancing, skating, and experimenting with fashion by upcycling and styling clothes. These hobbies give her a chance to recharge and explore different sides of her creativity, feeding back into her music in unexpected ways.
Looking ahead, Estephanie is excited for what’s to come next. She has new music on the way, sooner than fans might expect, and is working on ways to build a stronger connection with her growing community. If she could give her younger self any advice, it would be to stop overthinking and embrace the process. “You don’t need to have it all figured out,” she says. “Just take the risk. You’ll never know what’s out there unless you try.” With her talent, drive, and down-to-earth approach, Estephanie’s future in music is one the keep a close eye on!
