Hits like “Backrooms” and “Bands!” have shaken up the room of creativity, as 21-year old hip-hop artist, kaixan, breaks ground into a deeply historically rooted LA rap scene with his own spin.
Entangling the likes of some of his favorites coming up ranging from Tyler, The Creator & X to PrettyBoiClique, kaixan explored beginnings, testing the waters of plugg and rap. Newest releases “urs” and “throw it back” are great examples of the prior notion. “Urs” serves as a sequel to “<‘3” and an expository from the POV of someone else. “Throw it back” is exclusively on SoundCloud and an ingenious Trap sort of, take on Ne-Yo’s “Closer”.
He has been able to capture an audience in a major way through not only his music, but merchandise as well. "Been such a long journey cuz if I knew I was gonna be performing shows and having people I don’t even know across the world wear my hats, I would’ve lost my sh*t in high school.”
