The 17-year old prodigy that is Buppy is an illustrious young adult in the music industry who has been chipping away at cementing himself as one of the premier upcoming artists, exploring soulful music and creating depicting visions through music videos alike.
His mesh of alternative R&B & ‘anti-pop’ as he describes, provides for an outlet of emotion for all the teens and young adults.
He’s collaborated with @uhhkenji on a really great track in “Daydreams”, as well as @TheChinaBlue on soul-stirring “Fight the Temptation”. Seamlessly, he melodizes using the likes of pianos, acoustics, fidgeting with the equalizing effects of voice.
““I retract all the love i let you keep” tells the story of the downfall of a past relationship that occurred during my move to Los Angeles.” His latest release possesses the puppy love motif, describing the beginning of the end of a prior engagement. If there was a personification of the song: On stage where the lights are low, red curtains overhanging behind the singer and an empty theater with roses covering the ground as Buppy softly explores his emotions by song (go look at Eminem’s Curtain Call cover for reference). The jazzy undertone and simplistic, yet pensive arrangement hold the ears hostage, all with the help of the talented collective of Eeryskies, Pilotkid, Spencr, André Castro, and frequent collaborator Cole Boillat (BOIA). You can find a great writeup of his own, on behalf of the team, about the song and the artist paired with a great video, directed by Anthony Palmer, attached (on YouTube) at buppyfather.com.
Having journeyed late summer, performing 4 personal shows in his great state of Utah and newfound home in California on the Nights2Remember Tour, Buppy will finish
out the year with a couple singles for the fans. This will precede the debut release of his 6-song EP, Cold Nights in Hollywood, in early 2022. Voyage your feelings with Buppy to “IRATLILYK” down below!
