Elijah LeFlore Gets Unapologetically Real in "Lonely Lover"
In a city typically known for its rap scene, Elijah LeFlore has been one of the frontrunners of Chicago’s emerging R&B scene. Coming from a family where he was surrounded by music, he was given the tools to give music a try. At an early age, his parents enrolled him in violin lessons, which helped him understand the fundamentals of music. Now many years later, he has evolved into an artist who pushes boundaries and is able to dabble in multiple genres.

His most recent body of work, "Lonely Lover,” is a brilliant compilation of 9-tracks due to his strong vocal arrangements and the heartfelt conviction that he brings with every line. Not only was there a powerful message behind this project, but Elijah's pen game was at his highest level. Every song makes a bold yet timely statement to the world about relationships and the importance of having emotional intelligence & overall accountability.
With Elijah being so grounded in his artistry, he was able to gift an album that deeply resonates emotionally. Drawing influence from outspoken creatives like Kanye West and Prince, he’s able to effectively use his music as a vessel to help people escape all the negativity within this world. It's crystal clear to me that his upcoming releases will continue to build off of “Lonely Lover” and show off his extensive range as a songwriter.
